Taking place in Aachen from the 20th of August to the 3rd of September, the World Equestrian Games are considered by many to be the "Wimbledon of Equestrianism". Riders around the world are aware of the supreme quality and long-standing tradition of these proceedings. Especially when asked about Stadion 1's green.
"To be someone in equestrianism, you have to have won in Aachen", states riding-legend Hans Günther Winkler. At this year's CHIO (Concours Hippique International Officiel), German equestrians were able to prove their excellence by winning the most-important competitions. The hall was sold out once again with 40.000 spectators during all dressage and show jumping events.

Amongst the enthusiast users are Tony Andre Hansen (show jumper - Norwegian team), Omar Bonomelli (show jumper - Italian team) and Victoria Max-Theurer (dressage - Austrian team).
