Excluding contraindications, the application is free of side effects. There are no findings regarding negative secondary effects.
Is there anything I can do wrong when using it?
No - neither the selectable single programs nor the medical programs have a negative effect on the body. If you are suffering from fevers or acute inflammations or if you are suspected of possibly suffering from thromboses, the hhp Massage System may not be applied. The same applies during pregnancies or when bearing an artificial pacemaker.
Can I lie down on the hhp Massage System every day?
Daily applications are expressively encouraged to allow for a permanent improvement of complaints. If necessary, a treatment with the hhp Massage System can be applied several times a day.
Do even doctors use it?
More than 1.800 doctors and almost 100 clinics all
over Germany use the hhp Massage System.
Does it really help?
A number of independent studies have proven the effectiveness
of the hhp Massage System, but the speed and effectiveness
of a treatment may vary from patient to patient and
depend on the individual.
How long does a treatment take?
The pre-programmed standard treatment times vary from
15 to 30 minutes. Generally, first-time users should
start with programs of 15 minutes. After a short period
of acclimatization (usually only a few treatments
are necessary) treatments can be lengthened to 30
minutes.
Is there a maximum length of the
treatment?
Basically, there is no maximum length for a treatment,
but more than 30 minutes will offer no additional
benefits.
How often can I use it?
You can generally use it as often as you like; please
note that from a therapeutic perspective a higher
frequency of treatments is preferable to lengthened
treatments. Using the hhp Massage System only once
a day and just lengthening the treatment period to
more than 30 minutes is less preferable than using
it several times a day for shorter periods of time.
Can children use it?
Yes, but please pay special attention to the position
of the child. Especially the heart-balance-cushion
should be pushed up as far as necessary to support
the angle of the knees.
What about “electromagnetic
pollution”?
The hhp Massage Sytem is a licensed medical product
of class 2A, which was tested for electromagnetic
tolerance.
Thus, there are no negative effects on the human body
due to electromagnetic pollution.
How large is the consumption?
The maximum intake at the highest level is 70 Watt.
With a standard treatment length of 15 minutes, the
intake will be about 17,5 Watt per treatment.
Can the hhp Massage System be used
world-wide?
Using a line adapter the massage system can be used
world-wide. No changes have to be made to the device
itself.
What is necessary to maintain the
hhp Massage System?
Never submerge the device or even put it into water!
The covers are made of a soft and easy- to-clean leather
substitute. Normal dirt and stains can be easily removed
with a solution of neutral soap and lukewarm water.
Subsequently rub the spot with a clean and soft cloth.
Can I use the massage system if I
have a hip joint prosthesis?
Generally yes, but please wait for six weeks to pass
after the surgery and only then begin the treatment.
Patients who have received cement-free TEPs can begin
treatment right after leaving the hospital.
I have an artificial pacemaker. Can
I use the massage system?
Generally, there are two types of cardiac pacemakers.
Patients with permanent artificial pacemakers should
not be treated at all. Patients with supporting artificial
pacemakers can use massage systems.
Does the same apply if I am suffering
from thrombosis?
All kinds of thrombosis are contraindications of using
the massage system. Please do not use the Massage
Bed, even if you are only suspected of suffering from
thrombosis!
Can I use the massage system, despite
suffering from a herniated disc?
Herniated discs are accompanied by cramped muscles
combined with a lack of blood circulation. If this
lack of circulation persists over extended periods
of time, typical clinical pain patters arise.
A useful and conservative approach to treatment is
loosening the muscles with warmth and massages in
order to improve circulation. This effect can be achieved
with hhp Massage Systems. A number of patients suffering
from herniated discs have been treated successfully
with the hhp Massage System.
Should the massage system be placed
on a soft or a hard surface?
As the hhp Massage System is a self-contained therapeutic
device, it is not affected by the consistency of the
surface it is placed on. As long as the ground the
hhp Massage System is placed on is even and level,
a therapeutic effect can take place.
